Stitch’n’Craft

Group Coordinator: Morag Todd

Meetings: arranged from time to time and posted on the website.

Description of the group

Stitch’n’Craft meets occasionally to hold crafting workshops, or arrange outings to view crafts. Workshops are offered by group members who have a particular skill to share, and participants at these are welcome to take part or just to watch a demonstration. Each workshop is posted on the website “Events” page and all U3A members are invited to take part. If you would like an individual email notification of these events, contact Morag at moragtodd@gmail.com and she will add you to the mailing list.

Recent workshops have included: working with polymer clay; working with resin; stitching appliqué; basket weaving; making fabric Christmas trees; working with fabrics; sewing project bags; sewing mobile phone holders.; making woven and beaded necklaces. The most recent outing arranged was to the garnet factory at Prades.

This group is very much dependent on our U3A members to share their skills, so any member who has a craft they are prepared to demonstrate and/or teach – or who’s seen some of our work and would like an introduction to it – are warmly welcomed to contact Morag with their comments!
