Stitch’n’Craft

Group Coordinator(s) : Morag TODD

Meetings: Normally first Wednesday afternoon at 14.30

Description of the Group

The Stitch’n’Craft group meets monthly and will have a different theme or topic each month. Sometimes this will be a workshop or demonstration led by a group member; sometimes it may be an outing to a place of interest.  Group members have very varied interests which include many different types of craft: sewing, patchwork, quilting, knitting, crochet, lace-making, couture, jewellery making – to name but a few! Members also share tips and ideas with each other, work on personal and joint projects, and generally discuss their various crafting skills.

Usually one of the group hosts the meeting (which normally ends with tea and cake) but our afternoons have also included, for example, a visit to a large fabric store, a talk from a collector of buttons, and several workshops learning new skills. New members – whether they have a crafting skill to share, or would like to learn from others – are always very welcome.

The events are detailed on the website and attendance can be booked through the “Events” page.
