Group Coordinator : Sue Pattison
Deputy Coordinators: Malcolm Newman, Anna Hossack
Meetings: Normally monthly as advertised at members houses.
Numbers vary but are usually between 20 and 25
This group is open to anyone who is interested in improving their culinary skills in a relaxed atmosphere. The group gets together once a month for either a demonstration from a member, or someone from the outside who is prepared to show us a new skill, or for a theme evening. The idea is to encourage members to share their cooking experiences and recipes and make suggestions for future events. If possible the members take turns, when a date suits them, to host an event.
We also have a summer barbecue, a Christmas meal and other favourites such as Burns Night and St Patrick’s Day celebrations.
A’Mature Chefs has already published two cookery books which are still available in pdf format, and sharing recipes is an important benefit of group membership.
Members are requested to bring their own plate, knife and fork in order to reduce the host’s workload, and to make a contribution to the host’s costs, usually 2€. Wine is provided by the host.
